Research- Attack of the Killer Tomatoes

The Attack of Killer Tomatoes was a 1978 parody science fiction film. It made about 567,000 dollars at the box office with its 90,000 dollar budget. John De Bello, the director, was nominated for a Stinker Award of worst sense of direction (stop them before they direct again). The movie opens with an establishing shot of a town zooming in into a fade transition to a woman washing her dishes. A tomato then appears in the woman's sink to which the tomato then jumps from her sink and corner the woman causing her to scream. The movie then fades black with the stereotypical slasher film music implying the woman was killed. Four Square Productions Presents then appears on the screen only for it to then fades back to black which is followed by a tomato thrown at the screen and the title appears. The title was followed by more tomatoes being thrown at the screen as the background of the credits including the writers, producers, directors, stars, co-stars, cinematography, score composer, who wrote the story, the music, who choose the music, how its based on a novel, and special appearances all in that order.
